QE Gateshead’s success story – the very best care for patients
Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, better known as QE Gateshead, was one of the first Foundation Trusts in the UK. Since its establishment in 2005, QE Gateshead hospital has been recognized as providing a superb quality of care to patients. Located in the North East of England, Gateshead Hospital employs more than 3,400 staff and provides 580 beds across Gateshead, which includes the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Dunston Hill Day Hospital, QE Metro Riverside and Bensham Hospital.
The aim of the QE Gateshead team is to focus on providing the best health services possible, particularly in specialist fields such as gynaecology, maternity, palliative care and old age psychiatry.
Its maternity services are recognized as amongst the very best in England and its gynaecological cancer care is acknowledged to be world-leading.
