The Royal Victoria Hospital belongs to the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust which includes 4 other hospitals around Kent. The hospital is essentially a Victorian building but it has been refurbished over the years and it is now a renowned hospital. Indeed, the Royal Victoria has a national and international reputation in terms of high quality specialist care, in particular, in cancer, kidney, stroke and vascular services.
This teaching Trust hospital has a major role in medical training and education and works with local universities such as King’s College London.
