Whiston Hospital is located in Prescot and serves about 350,000 people from the surrounding area, including Knowsley, Halton and St Helens. The Prescot hospital is part of the St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and opened in 2010 as part of a larger redevelopment costing £338 million.
